VISA PROCEDURES FOR ICELAND 

TYPE OF VISA, HOW TO OBTAIN? REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Long Term Stay-Student

As a Foreign national, you can obtain a residence permit to study in Denmark. There are three main educational categories for which a residence permit can be issued:

 Higher education programs
 Basic and youth education programs
 high schools
1 completed colored application form. Relevant forms can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Danish Immigration Office. 
3 passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible. 
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 1 A4 size color photocopy of all processed pages, previous passports and black and white photocopies, if any. 
For Ankara; The original and certified English translation of the Population Registration Certificate obtained from the Civil Registry Office within the last month. The civil registry copy must show mother, father, spouse, sibling and children. (This document is not required for applicants applying from Istanbul.) 
The original or a colored printout of the acceptance letter issued by the educational institution in Denmark. 
Proof of sufficient financial resources for accommodation and living expenses in Denmark – e.g. bank account, original grant letter (visit the Danish Immigration Office website for more information). 
Original Student Certificate and its certified English translation. 
The consulate has the right to request additional documents. 
Turkish Documents must be translated into English by a sworn translator. 
A receipt proving that the Case Order ID number has been created and paid must be submitted. The required information  is available at www.newtodenmark.dk/fee  . (Case order ID number should be written in the remarks section of the bank receipt.) 

Long Term Stay-Work

Color printout of the application form (After filling in the sections to be filled by the person who will be your reference in Denmark, the reference must send the relevant form to the applicant along with the documents specified in the form that the reference must provide. Relevant details are written in the application form). 
 5 passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible.
 A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 1 A4 size color photocopy of all processed pages, previous passports and black and white photocopies, if any.
 Original Population Registration Copy and English translations approved by the translator. The civil registry copy must show mother, father, spouse, sibling and children.
 The original copy of the document showing the educational status, its color photocopy and its English translation approved by the translator.
 For applicants who have attended a language course: The original certificate received at the language course, its color photocopy and its English translation approved by the translator.
 A receipt showing that the Case Order ID number has been created and paid must be submitted. The required information  is available at http://www.nyidanmark.dk/  . (Case order ID number must be written in the remarks section of the bank receipt.) To create Case Order ID:  It must be entered in the create case order id section at www.newtodenmark.dk/fee .

Long Term Stay-Green Card

1 completed colored application form. The relevant forms can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Danish Immigration office.
5 passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible.
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 1 A4 size color photocopy of all processed pages, and previous passports and black and white photocopies, if applicable.
Diplomas (originals, certified English translations and color photocopies)
Original transcripts and certified English translations.
Proof of sufficient financial resources for accommodation and living expenses for the first year in Denmark and a certified English translation – e.g. bank account – (visit the Danish Immigration Office website for more information).
Personal CV and documents related to work experience
Documents showing language skills
A receipt showing that the Case Order ID number has been created and paid must be submitted. The required information  is available at http://www.nyidanmark.dk/  . (Case order ID number should be written in the remarks section of the bank receipt.) To create a Case Order ID,  the ‘create case order ID’ link should be followed at www.newtodenmark.dk/fee . There is no need to translate documents originally in English.
The consulate has the right to request additional documents.

Long Term Stay-Family Reunification

for spouse 

1 completed colored application form. Relevant forms can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Danish Immigration Office.
5 passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible.
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 1 A4 size color photocopy of all processed pages (previous passports and black and white photocopies, if any)
Original Marriage Certificate and 1 color photocopy of all processed pages and its English translation approved by the translator.
Originals of the Civil Registration Certificate and their English translation approved by the translator. The civil registration copy must show the mother, father, spouse, siblings and children.

For kids

1 completed colored application form. Relevant forms can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Danish Immigration Office.
5 passport size (3.5cm x 4.5cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible.
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 1 A4 size color photocopy of all processed pages, previous passports and black and white photocopies, if any.
Original Population Registration Sample and English translations approved by the translator. The birth certificate copy must show mother, father, spouse, siblings and children.
For the children of divorced parents, the original divorce decision and its English translation, and for the parent staying in Turkey, the original and English translation of the Notarized Consent.
If the parents are married, the original and English translation of the Notarized Consent for their children and given by the parent staying in Turkey.
If the applicant is under the age of 18, he/she must come to the application with his/her mother or father.

Short Term Stay-Return Permit

Required documents:

Completed application form
2 passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible.
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and 2 A4 size color photocopies of all processed pages, and previous passports and their color photocopies, if applicable.

Short Term Stay-Commercial

2 passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible. (The part from the top end of the hair to the chin should be between 3 cm and 3.5 cm)
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and an A4 size  color  photocopy (all pages processed) and previous passports and their photocopies, if any.
Passports must be valid for 3 months after the return date.
Signed invitation written on paper with letterhead in English/Danish from the company in Iceland. The invitation must include the address, telephone number and similar information of the company in Denmark. In addition, the applicant must specify how many days he/she will stay in Denmark and how often he/she should go, the reason for the visit, which product the company in Denmark wants to sell/buy from the Turkish company, and how the two companies connect with each other.
A valid birth certificate copy, original and recent, taken from the civil registry office (showing mother, father, spouse, siblings and children).
If the person will stay in a hotel, make a hotel reservation.
Flight Ticket reservation
Bank account book showing the last months of the Turkish company. Bank account book of the applicant. (Applicants who want to go to Denmark for business visits must show 66 Euros per day and 2000 Euros for 30 days in their account books). (A bank account book valid for the last 3 months is required, it must be stamped and signed by the bank, and must be received within the last 15 days.)
Travel Health Insurance covering travel time. (You can get travel health insurance at our application centers),
If the applicant is working, a letter of leave from his employer (the work performed by the applicant, the duration of his employment and a statement that he will return to work after his trip in Denmark/Schengen countries must be included).
Pay slips of the last four months, SSI employment declaration, SSI notifications of the last four months and Activity Certificate from the Employer, Tax Certificate, Signature Circular, Turkish Trade Registry Gazette.
Required documents for self-employed applicants: A written petition on the letterhead of their own company, Chamber of Commerce Registration Copy, Activity Certificate, Tax Certificate, Signature Circular, Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, Certificate of Authorization.
The applicant must prove that he/she is able to cover the expenses while in Denmark.
If Sports Teams participate in official competitions, a note from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a list of participants, a written invitation from the organization they cooperate with in Denmark, relevant information and the date must be included. Additionally, the organization they represent in Turkey must be documented.
The Consulate has the right to request new documents in addition to the documents mentioned above.
If the applicant is retired, retirement card and wallet.
Farming certificate if the applicant is a farmer.
If the applicant is under 18 years of age, notarized consent from the mother and father

Short Term Stay-Touristic

2 passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) color photographs on a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible. (The part from the top end of the hair to the chin should be between 3 cm and 3.5 cm)
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and an A4 size  color  photocopy (all pages processed), previous passports and their photocopies, if any.
Passports must be valid for 3 months after the return date.
Hotel reservation.
Flight Ticket reservation
Bank account book of the applicant. (A bank account book valid for the last 3 months is required, stamped and signed by the bank)
Documented Population Registry copy, taken from the Civil Registry Office, in original and with a recent date. (showing mother, father, spouse, siblings and children)
Travel Health Insurance covering travel time. (You can get travel health insurance at our application centers.)

If the applicant is under 18 years of age, notarized consent from the mother and father.
Written invitation from the University/Research center in Denmark and acceptance letter stating the duration of the applicant’s stay in Iceland and the training he will receive. Within the scope of the European Union, from the competent authorities (TUBITAK, EU Education and Youth Programs Center, Danish International Education Agency). Students who will stay for more than 3 months must apply for a residence permit.

Visa for Short Term Stay – Visiting Family/Friends

2 visa size photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) with a white background, taken recently. In the photograph, the applicant’s face – chin, forehead, nose, eyes, eyebrows and mouth should be clearly visible. (The part from the top end of the hair to the chin should be between 3 cm and 3.5 cm)
A valid passport obtained within the last 10 years and an A4 size  color  photocopy (all pages processed), previous passports and their photocopies, if any.
Passports must be valid for 3 months after the return date.
Invitation from your reference in Denmark, written in Danish or English. The content of the invitation includes; The full names, addresses, degree of kinship of the invitee and the inviter, the purpose of the visit, the identity number (cpr.nr.) of the inviter, and in case of fiancée/lover, how long they have been acquainted must be stated. If the inviter is engaged or in love, the photo taken together should be brought along with a color photocopy on an A4 size paper. In addition, photocopies of the inviting person’s residence card or passport are required.
A photocopy of the residence card of the inviting person, and a passport photocopy if the inviting person is a Danish citizen.
Documented Population Registry copy, original and recent, taken from the Civil Registry Office. (Showing mother, father, spouse, siblings and children)
Flight ticket reservation (showing all intermediate flights)
If the applicant is working, a letter of leave from his employer (the work performed by the applicant, the duration of his employment and a statement that he will return to work after his trip in Denmark/Schengen countries must be included).
If the applicant is an employee, the pay slip of the last four months, SSI employment declaration, SSI declarations of the last four months and Activity Certificate from the Employer (original and a photocopy), Tax Certificate, Signature Circular, Turkish Trade Registry Gazette (photocopies of the last 3 documents are sufficient. )
Bank account book of the applicant.  (A bank account book valid for the last 3 months is required. It must be stamped, signed and received from the bank within 15 days.)
If the applicant is retired, a statement of the account in which the pension is deposited for the last 6 months is required. He must also bring his retirement card or wallet, if any.
Travel health insurance; It should cover your entire travel history. (You can get travel health insurance at our application centers)
Required documents for self-employed applicants: A written petition on the letterhead of their own company, Chamber of Commerce Registration Copy, Activity Certificate, Tax Certificate, Signature Circular, Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, Certificate of Authorization.
If the applicant is a student, the original Student Certificate obtained from the Educational Institution (the department and period of education must be stated).
The applicant must prove that he/she is able to cover the expenses while in Denmark.
Farming certificate if the applicant is a farmer
If the applicant is under 18 years of age, notarized consent from the mother and father is required; if one of the parents has applied for a visa at the same time, only consent from the remaining parent is required. Likewise, if one of the parents is a reference and the person will go alone, a letter of consent will be requested.
The Consulate has the right to request new documents in addition to the documents mentioned above.

WARNING:  Those who do not have a fixed financial income (students, housewives, etc.) should take a look at the lists of documents related to the living expenses of their first-degree relatives who support them financially. In addition, they must submit a signed and legible petition stating that they will be supported by their first degree relative. For minor children, the original and photocopy of a notarized consent form issued within the last 6 months must be obtained from both parents, and the visa application forms filled out separately for the children must be signed by both parents. In case of missing documents, the application may be returned. Please note that other documents may be requested if necessary. Having submitted the documents mentioned above does not necessarily mean that a visa will be granted.
